Yaquina Waterfront Residence

After removal of an existing dilapidated house this home was sited in the prior footprint ensuring its broad stance at the very edge of the adjacent Puget Sound. In terms of form and details it took historical cues from the late Ellsworth Storey, one of Seattle’s most popular architects. In line with many of Storey’s historic residences, this house uses generous amounts of local lumber, has wide projecting eaves, and utilizes numerous covered porches, all which suit the home’s natural surroundings.
